Coverage
There has yet to be any significant or discoverable information regarding this particular artifact and its manufacturer. However, a source considered this artifact to be transferware. Transferware became popular among the middle class. Transferware was first produced in the 1700s and it has been prominent since the 1800s. With the emergence of travel during the Victorian era, people became interested in places outside of Europe. Early transferware products show patterns that resembled images of the Middle East, India, and China. Many traveling artists created images of these new locations, and these images were later copied and put onto transferware china. The image attached of the whole plate is an example of what this artifact may have looked like.
